Scherri-Lee raises money for Cancer Council

Scherri-Lee raises money for Cancer Council

The scorching summer issue of Box Magazine  sees the third instalment of the exclusive photographic feature ONLY –  this time, an ode to the game-changing, iconic furniture of the world’s best designers and starring the beautifully bare Aussie babe, Scherri-Lee Biggs.

Across nine pages shot by the talented Sam Bisso, Scherri puts an engaging and sensual twist on the most important design pieces in modern furniture. With an angelic face and powerful curves, Scherri spotlights the iconic Eames recliner and dining chairs; the GeorgeNelson marshmallow sofa; Maarten Baas’ edgy Smoke armchair; the BassamFellows tractor stool; DomoDinamica’s Calla recliner; and the classic chesterfield armchair.

But this stunning celebration of influential design is, of course, for a good cause. Box has a proud tradition of donating 100 per cent of subscription profits from every single issue to ToyBox International. Partnering with Scherri for the summer issue, ToyBox will use subscription profits from the quarter to fund the Holiday Break program with Cancer Council of Victoria, a cause Scherri believes in wholeheartedly.

Of her breathtaking photo shoot and the charitable intentions at its core, Scherri-Lee couldn’t be happier.

“I did the ONLY  shoot to raise money for Cancer Council Victoria, a charity close to my heart. Having never done a shoot like this before, I was nervous in the lead-up – like most women, I had reservations about my body. It helped me appreciate and enjoy what I have been given, and I feel so much more confident and empowered now. It was such an amazing experience and a thrill to be able to raise funds for such a worthwhile charity. And you know what they say: if your mum approves, you can’t really go wrong!”

Box Magazine’s Owner and Chief Editor, Troy Barbagallo was blown away by Scherri’s passion and commitment to the publication and its charity focus. “Scherri’s poise, beauty and genuine character are perfectly suited to Box Magazine ’s ethos – a dedication to both quality and the luxury of giving back. The exquisite images from Scherri’s photo shoot are sure to become iconic in their own right, which we hope will increase public awareness to help us raise much needed funds for Australia’s sick and disadvantaged kids,” he said.

The summer magazine will be on-sale from mid-December and subscriptions are open now. Having already featured Australian beauties Rachael Finch and Ruby Rose in previous editions, Box  will continue to bring something different to the publishing Landscape with the page-turning ONLY  concept: a celebration of the most beautiful canvas, the female form, adorned  by exquisite creations from the world’s most adored and respected artisans.
