Younger Heroes Camps

ToyBox Australia is proud to have funded multiple camps for children aged 8-15 through The Younger Heroes Program designed to strengthen relationships between current and returned service people and their children. ToyBox has contributed over $165,000 towards the Younger Heroes camps nationally. 

 The Younger Heroes Program supports participants (parents and their children) in their endeavours to connect. The ‘technology free’ camp, is specifically designed to enhance trust, respect, honesty, integrity, courage, confidence and empowerment.

 This Program is particularly relevant for individuals (parents) who may have experienced extended time away from their families as a result of their employment (Military, Police and other First Responders), or those individuals whose work experience/environments may have impacted their family connection or tempered their communication/relationship with their family.

 The stresses and strains of modern-day living takes its toll on many relationships, add to this the anxiety and trauma that many of our returned service-men and women suffer, and compound it with the reintegration into family life - it’s easy to see why this program is invaluable. It costs $2500 to sponsor a family to attend a Younger Heroes Camp. ToyBox is proud to have supported many of these families in drive to reconnect.
