Pop the champagne and roll out the birthday cake! Box Magazine is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with the hotly anticipated spring issue hitting shelves late September. Along with the usual roster of unparalleled, luxury editorial, Box has a special treat in store for readers: Australian beauty Ruby Rose starring in an exclusive shoot, aptly titled ONLY . The seven-page spread sees Ruby drop her designer threads in favour of the season’s most gorgeous heels. With a piercing blue gaze and trademark tattoos boldly on display, Ruby dons stilettos from leading high fashion brands Christian Dior, Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Emporio Armani, Jimmy Choo and Saint Laurent.
As always, 100 per cent of profits from subscriptions to the magazine will be donated to ToyBox International. To honour Ruby’s collaboration with Box Magazine for the Anniversary issue, ToyBox will be donating the funds directly to filling grants for her chosen cause Cystic Fibrosis Australia. Owner and Chief Editor, Troy Barbagallo was rapt with Ruby’s enthusiasm for the project, the publication, and its charity focus. “Ruby is the perfect embodiment of Box Magazine’s style – beauty with an edge. Not only is she a modern Australian beauty, but her passionate activism also aligns seamlessly with the charitable focus of the publication. It is a collaboration that I hope will increase public awareness of the work that we do with ToyBox International, and in turn help us to raise more money for Australia’s sick and disadvantaged youth,” he said.
Ruby in ONLY shoes is just the first instalment of the series, which will feature one incredible Australian model, actress or personality over the next four issues to celebrate Box Magazine’s anniversary year. While each chapter will star a new face with their own charitable cause to benefit, the concept and artistic principles will be maintained. From issue to issue, ONLY will remain a celebration of the most beautiful canvas, the female form, adorned by exquisite creations from the world’s most adored and respected artisans.
