ToyBox Dials Up the Entertainment

 ToyBox Australia has supported Starlight children again – this time funding a microphone and audio upgrade for the Starlight TV system at the Perth Children’s Hospital.  

 Starlight TV enables Captain Starlight to reach even the most seriously sick children at their bed side at a time they need it the most. Having engaging, age appropriate and interactive content is essential to providing positive distraction from the pain, stress and isolation of hospitalisation and kids are tuning into Starlight TV to experience live interactions and activities (including Friday Bingo or daily Kahoot quizzes), as well as daily TV shows featuring special guests and challenges.

The old system required a lot of new materials to enable Starlight to deliver the high-quality program they need, to keep the kids entertained in their wards and rooms. Until the upgrade, the SER experience was being impacted by the poor sound quality and the Starlight team had witnessed numerous kids watching Starlight TV live in the SER, trying to compete in a quiz with their live experience being seriously impacted by the quality of the old equipment needing replacing. The new system has changed all this!

 Recent COVID restrictions have also meant that Starlight are having to rely almost completely on Starlight TV to deliver their programs and so it has become an integral part of their incredible program delivery.
