T34 Syringe Driver

ToyBox Australia is proud to purchase two, T34 Syringe Drivers for Perth Children’s Hospital! This grant made possible thanks to funding raised at the RQCC event.

The T34 Syringe Driver is designed for infusion of medications or fluids requiring continuous or intermittent delivery at precisely controlled infusion rates through all clinically acceptable routes of administration including intravenous, subcutaneous, percutaneous, intraarterial, epidural, enteral, in close proximity to nerves, and into an intraoperative site (soft tissue/body cavity/surgical wound site).

The system is intended for patients who require maintenance medications, analgesics, PCA therapy, parenteral and enteral nutrition fluids, chemotherapeutic agents and general fluids therapy in hospital and home care environments.

The funding of the T34 Syringe Driver’s by ToyBox Australia will see:

  • Decreased Child hospital admissions - Access to subcutaneous infusions via Niki pump will ensure that children are able to attend school and spend as much time as possible at home

  • Decreased clinical risk – Intravenous infusions, while effective, have other clinical risks associated with means of administrations. The risk is decreased by using a subcutaneous approach
